Busy creating!

This album I made for my brother and sister in law.I have kept it simple, so that it doesn't become to big f a chore to keep track of things.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 7 Mom's Day

Fantabulous Cricut

Over at Fantabulous Cricut this week they are hosting a Mother's Day challenge. Now that I am a wife and have a Mother in Law. I am lucky enough to make two Mother's Day Cads. My Mother in Law is Hungarian, so he word for Mom is Anyu! Having a Cricut and making my own card makes customizing cards in another language so easy! Just as long as you know how to spell them!

Let's Get Crafty Episode # 17: Pregnancy Congratulations

I've been coming home every evening this week making some projects. However, I haven't been uploading my creations, but plan on doing a little tonight and some tomorrow as well!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 6 Winged Theme

I just had to go and check out the challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut. I had so much fun competing in last week's challenge that I had to try this week's challenge as well. Anyone who knows me, will know how much I love butterflies and I can't miss out on creating a project using one. For this challenge project I used my DCWV 8x8 Glitter Stack. I was able to cut out this pillow box using this size with the Wedding Solutions Cartriage. A great size for some party treats. Then I cut the flower out using the paisley cartriage, and cut out the brown butterfly using Bazil Bling paper using the Indie art cartriage. On the bag I have stamped a circle stamp that says to and from. I have kept this really generic in terms of a sentiment because I could use it for many different occasions that way!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Tam's Use What is on Your Desk Tag Challenge

I couldn't resist participating in this challenge. Tam from the Canadian Scrap and Chat Message board challenged all of us girls to make a tag using only the materials found on our desl right now. Good think I didn't end up cleaning up yet! LOL! I can't resist a challenge. Just to prove that I had all these items on my desk I took a picture. As you can see the only thing I had to get was a piece of pink paper for the tag itself. Stuff I used for this challenge. I don't have a sentiment on there because unfortunately the stamps that were available didn't fit or weren't approrpriate! This took hardly any time at all and it was a fun way to use what was on my desk! Thanks for the challenge!

Misc, Stickers
Strip of Blue Paper
Apron Lace Fiscars Punch
Scribbles 3D Paint
Brown Ink Pad
Misc Hot Pink Button.

Very Pretty Stationary Box

Found this surfing tonight!

I really want to make one of these!

Studio G Challenge # 1: Spring Theme Embellishment

I have started a challenge over at the Canadian Scrap N Swap Message Boards to encourage all of us to go to our Studio G Stamps and put them to use creating a crafty project. I am going to be having a new challenge every couple of weeks with the hopes that it will inspire us to use these stamps for other projects because it gets us looking at them.

I really wanted to try making a Scrapling. It is a great way to use up scraps and use the studop g stamps. These didn't take too much time to create! I plan on putting these into a package that I can then sell at the craft fair in November. I will see what I can do!

Let's Get Crafty Episode # 15: Sweet Treats Home Decor

Today I was busy doing lots of house work that has been put on hold since working on my paper. I feel like I have a brand new wardrobe now that I have done so many loads of laundry today. However, I did have time to Get Crafty today and I filmed this two part video series to show you how you can make your very own!

I can't take credit for originality. I scraplifted this project from a creative crafter on the Cricut Message Board. However, I turned it into my own project, but only using my cricut for the project. This two part video will show you which cartriages I used, and as well show you how to use chalking and versamark, and as well make a Prima Like flower with a flower from Walk In My Garden

Birthday Cards and Card Box

I did a little bit of creating yesterday and these are the three projects that I worked on. These two cards are for my first card order that I am currently in the process of filling. I thought that I would make this card box as well to put the cards in. It is a great presenation for my first customer of my cards. This box was purchased at a Thrift Store. Then Spray Painted with White, and then I used some pretty paper from my stash to decorate. The font is from my Hannah Montannah Cartriage, and the Bird is from Hannah Montannah as well.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 5: April Showers

Busy surfing the net for challenges this morning, and I found this one over at Fantabulous Cricut. Another fantastic and inspiring Cricut Challenge Blog. Well, they also have a spring challenge on at the momment, so I had the other half of the card from the previous challenge that I completed. I thought that I just had to try this one too. But I wanted to make an entirely differnt card. This card I made using the New Arrivals Cricut Cartriage. I love the girls on this, and if you use your imagination they can be turned into non pregnant people! This is actually the cut of a pregnant lady, but I cut off the bel and turned her into a regular gal! I used the umbrella for the rain the April Shower inspiration.

I used my cricut design studio to ensure that everything matched up!

I think she turned out darling.

I was a little concerned that she might not stand out on this paper. But, popdotting always helps with this.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cricuttters Anonymous Design Team Call

Happy Saturday!

Wow! I haven't posted in almost a week. But, to be honest I have been enjoying my down time with the completion of my last class on Tuesday. However, I have lots of time to create now, so I am looking forward to the possibility of being on a Design Team Member on a challenge blog called Crucutters Anyonymous. You can check out there site here.

This weeks challenge was April Showers: Create a spring themed project. I was inspired by the beautiful sunshine we had this week, and my favourite colour pink. I have been wanting to use the Paisley Cricut Cartriage Lady Bug for quite some time now, and thought that this was the perfect opportunity. The patterned paper is just various paper I had in my stash, and then the Spring stamp is a Snag 'em Stamp by Imaginisce. I haven't used this stamp before either, so I feel real good about using some new supplies to create a card. Here is to many more challenges at the Cricutters Anonymous Blog!

Wish Me Luck!

3 New Cards Tonight

My reward for working hard with my hubby editing my big 25 page paper today was playing in my scraproom tonight after hubby went to work. I made two cutom order cards, and this special Minnie Mouse Birthday Card for my best friend's daughter's birthday in May. The Minnie Mouse Card was a new challenge, as I was making this as a 5x7 size. It was fun to challenge myself to work with a card size other than the A2. I just have a little more work on my paper tomorrow and then I can officially say I have completed my last assignment for my last MEd course.

The next step is comps, which I will be studying and preparing for 2 weeks from now...after I have a little break from it all!

I am looking forward to creating in my room. I have lots of projects to do. I think I might even make a special post here on the blog to keeptrack of my progress. It will make me more accountable!LOL!

Cookie Advent Calendar: Countdown to Christmas

Yes, I have been MIA for a few days now. But, I have been busy doing my paper and the typical errands that all of you hav ein your daily life. But, I wanted to show you this project that I have been working on when I have a few momments to come into my scraproom.

You are probably saying "What? A Christmas project in April? Yes, I have been wanting to make one of these ever since I participated in the cookie advent calendar swap back in November. I have a post to that calandar here. But,just haven't had the time to do it. This past week while at Walmart, I actually remembered to pick up a cookie sheet, so I thought now is the perfect time to make this project. I can wrap it all up, and then have it as a gift for Christmas. No pressures of Christmas rush making it now. All the pieces were made using my cricut. It is a fantastic took for something like this. I used Joys of the Season, and Christmas Cheer. I think a bit of Doodlecharms too. I am very happy with it. They are a lot of work, but fun!

Gloria's Sketch Challenge April 1st

Over at the Canadian Scrap and Swap Message Board. Gloria has posted a card challenge for the first two weeks of April. I decided to do this challenge, and I immediately thought to do butterflies instead of flowers. However, Tammy had the same idea, and beat me to the post with her new Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch. You can check out Tammy's card here. So, I decided that I would still use the original butterfly theme that I had going on in my mind, but I wold add this new stamp set that I got for Christmas. I had not had a chance to use it yet, so I thought that this would be a good opportunity, as I have had it sitting out now for the past week reminding me that this is a card that I need to use!

Recipe:
Hot Pink Cardstock from Stash
Flourish Flower Clear Stamp (Sorry No Idea of the Company)
Martha Stewart Glitter Tourmaline
Asian Charachters by Inkadinkado
Hannah Montannah Cricut Cartriage Butterflies
Studio G Wish Stamp

However, I think my Staz On Ink Pad is running out because I don't get good crisp stamp immages anymore like I use to. I am hoping that I can buy a refill for this. Otherwise, I will need to buy a new stamp pad. This one has lasted a long time considering how much I use it. So, I went over parts with a black felt. This helped, but it could be better.

Anyways, I still am happy with this card, and like the idea that I was able to use my new stamp! Thanks for stopping by

More Easter Baskets: Easter 2010

I am just loving the 3D projects right now...let me tell you! Well, as if you haven't noticed with all the postings that I have been doing! Well, I made two more of those rectangular Easter Baskets for my in laws. I thought they looked cute with the Lindt Chocolate bunny.

Then, I got a brain wave, and thought that I would use my new cartridge Tags Bags, Boxes, and More. The nut cup kinda looked like an Easter Basket. I cut it out at 5.5 inches. I made the handle from the left over paper, and then use my apron lace fiskars punch to pretty up the handle. You will notice that I also used the embossing folder to give one of the pink baskets a bit of a unique look. I would have liked to do them all. But, once again time was a factor! However, I am very pleased with the results.

The scalloped punch and that clear stamp are my new favourite!

I hope the recipients enjoy my gifts. I love creating little gifts!

Easter Cards 2010

I was waiting to post these because I didn't want any family to see these before Easter. But, I think I might be safe now...since it is so late now. I have written in all of them now and sealed them away in envelopes.

I made 9 of these for family! I had some random Easter Paper, and then used my Doodlecharms cricut Cartriage for the rest. I cuttlebugged the eggs and the basket to give it a little more interest. I am totally on pop dot kick, so I used lots of those as well! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Easter Egg Colouring

This is a family tradition that we have been doing for I don't know how long! It is a lot of fun! We buy the egg decorating kits at the store, hard boil eggs, and then decorate to our hearts content. We always try to make eggs to celebrate important events. This year we had a Vancouver 2010 Olympic Egg, Retirement Egg for my Auntie Shirley, and a Graduation Egg for Me. Since this is the year I will graduate with my MEd.

We have lots of laughs making these in the process! However, we always seem to run out of steam at the end. And no longer use crayon and dye, we just use the dye. But, what fabulous colours we got using two tablets in each cup. This worked fantastic. We will enjoy these decorated eggs for Easter Lunch tomorrow at my Oma's.

Easter Baskets

I completed the big scraproom clean. However, it doesn't seem to stay clean for very long, as I ended up making a mess again with two little Easter baskets that I made for my sister and a friend. I got the idea from Splitcoast Stampers. However, the mess isn't as bad as it was when I started. A 10 minute clean up before I head up to bed is all that is really needed!

Splitcoast Stampers gallery of resources. This was a great tutorial because it had pictures and a video. So, I was able to use both to help me make these. The fabulous thing that I discovered tonight was the fact that the flower tag clear stamp by Imaginisce that I bought during the mini album scrap class that I took. actually fits with the scalloped punch I own. They fit beautifully. It was like they were made for each other. Typically big money is spent when at a Stampin Up Party to get this kind of combination. But, I just lucked out. Additionally the Happy Easter Studio G Stamp I have also fits perfectly inside the circle punch. So,I was able to create another punch that looks like a sticker. So, much fun with this project!

The weather has been miserable! Lots of wind today and rain. So, it was great to stay indoors. The lights have flickered twice. Which has me worried that the power is going to go out. Oh dear!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project!

Let's Get Crafty Episode # 14: Carrot Box with Baby Bug

I was busy using my new cartriage last night. I made a bunch of these for Easter Sunday. I am loving the Tags Boxes and More Cartriage. It it is so much fun to use and make these adorable little party favours!I am so happy with this purchase. I am cleaning my scraproom right now, but I plan on completing more projects this weekend.

Easter Purse with Scalloped Card

Cricut Cartriages Used:

Tags Bags Boxes and More - Scalloped Purse
Wild Card Cartriage - Scalloped Card

I made 6 of these darling little purses for some co-workers. They are so much fun to make. I am loving this Tags Bags, Boxes and More cartriage. I just wish I had bought it sooner. It is great for making little projects like this. It held about 10 little Easter Eggs. So, it was the perfct size for a few little chocolates. The Wild Card Cartriage with the scalloped card was a perfect little addition to the project. I didn't want to have the card over power the purse, and I think it is balanced quite well. I stamped a Happy Easter message on the front of the card. These were quite simple to do, but so effective!

Playing with Tags, Bags, Boxes and More

Cake Box

Triangle Box

Purse

Heart Basket

Shopping Bag

Flower Box

Popcorn Box

Nut Cup

Well, as it was mentioned in my last post. I received the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartriage this week after my Mom and Dad arrived home from Arizona. I couldn't wait to play with it and see what was the actual size of boxes I could make with my baby bug.

So, I have posted pictures of the many differnt boxes that I made. Let me tell you, that I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the boxes and bags. I am able to make a decent size favour box with all of the differnt boxes. One of the purse ones is very small. However, when I was at Essential Packaging in Surrey over Spring Break, there purse party favour was smaller than the one I am able to make with my baby bug. So, I think I will get lots of use out of this project.

I used some grey cardstock to make these because I don't typically use grey very often, and now I am able to get a sense of the size for each of these!

I have some Easter projects a brewing, so I will be busy creating and then posting these as they are completed!

So much fun playing!
