Phew Scraproom Clean at Last...

Well, yesterday in the early afternoon. I kept myself busy putting the finishing touches on my scraproom. I can't believe that I am finally done. Wow... it took some time to do inventory and reorganize. But, the hard work paide off, as I am finally finished. Here are a few shots. My goal now is to actually keep th eroom this tidy while still working on my Master's and working on the various projects. (I will try anyways, but we will see what happens.)

Spring Cleaning..

Well, I started with quite the list of Spring Cleaning that I wanted to do with all the time off that I have from school. (My Master's program not work.) I have been enjoying this extra time, but also being productive with it as well. Things thtat I have done included:
-Cleaning Out Clothes Closet
-Cleaning out Hall Closet.
-Cleaning out bathroom drawers.
-Scrubbed all the Kitchen Cupboards.

Now, yes I have been busy spring cleaning, but I have also enjoyed time in my scraproom as well. I altered a tin box from VV boutique that I thought that I would use for storing the addresses of my online scrap friends. I also completed two other word books.

- I made this one for my Grandpa and Grandma as a present. But, for now I am going to use it as a sample for a possible class I may be teaching.

- Love Book for Andrei, he liked mine, but I thought I would make a more masculine looking one.

Busy Scrapping

Well, I continue to be playing in my scraproom in the evenings. I am working on a special project that I am not quite ready to post online, not quite completed. However, I was having fun tonight swapping out all the items. I hosted a Bird and Flower Swap on the Canadian Swap Board. The theme was Birds and Flowers, and the colours were Green, Pink, and Lilac. Here is what everyone came up with.

Baby Wordbook

Well, I continued to have fun in my scraproom today. But, first I spent a lovely day with my friend Debbie. We met another girlfriend, and had brunch at the IHOP in Burnaby. It was fun chatting and catching up. We then continued on to Ms as I have convinced Debbie to do a small album of her honeymoon photos. I can't wait to see what she does. She is going to make an album completely from scratch. I am going to help her, as I have all the supplies to do it with. After a trip to the mall, and getting some photos developed I came home to work on a Babu Word book. (No.. I didn't have a secret Baby, this is Hunter my friend Tara's daughter. She was gracious enough to lone me some pictures to play. I had a lot of fun making this wordbook. Doing the Baby one was quite fun, as the letters are bigger, and it gave more room for decorating and photos. A girl at work would like me to possible do a class for her and her friends, so I made this as a prototype. It was easy to do such a beautiful job with these photos of beautiful Hunter.

Let me know what you think of all the projects!

I'd Rather Be Scrapping

Well, since starting my Masters it has been a while since I could spend as much time in my scrapbooking room as I am used to doing. And this weekend has been a busy one. Andrei is working all this weekend, so that left me to begin Spring Cleaning my house as well as scrapbooking. I had Cricut Design Studio as the token prize once I got all my Spring Cleaning Projects that I had assigned myself completed. While in Seattle, I did a massive amount of scrap shopping. Purchasing Cricut Desing Studio was one of the special treats I bought, so I have had Cricut Design Studio for a couple of weeks, but didn't have time to play. But since opening it late this past week, I have been playing with it non-stop. I am making all sorts of things with it. One of the projects that I couldn't wait to start was a word book. Word Books are all the rage right now, but they are very expensive to purchase, reading the cricut message boards, I discovered that you can use Cricut Design Studio to make your own word book. Well, the first one here that I am posting was a cut file that someone on the message board had made. I used it to cut the letters for the shape of the book, and get a feel for how the program works. My next project is a baby word book. I am getting pictures from my friend Tara, who will be able to help me with giving me photos.

Here are photos of the word book.

The other project that I worked on tonight was a item for the Bird and Flower Swap that I am hosting for the Candian Scrap and Swap Site. I am looking forward to seeing what all of their reactions are. The hot look in scrapbooking right now is using flourishes. I was really hoping that I would be able to make my own flourishes with CDS. So, I here is my first attempt, I made nine of these for the swap, as one goes to each person. Hope you like them!
