Fine Dining Cuttlery Choice

Andrei and I went to so many different stores when trying to decide where to register. We were trying to decide on a Fine Dining cuttlery pattern that we liked. This is the one that we really liked from Linen and Things. We didn't want to register at Linen and Things for just one thing. We may chose to register there at a later date, once we have our first place bought, as then we will know what to purchase and such in terms of bathrooms, bedrooms, and linens.

This set is called Oneida Amsterdam. It comes for a service of 8. Plus all the serving items too! The only problem is that it doesn't come with a special box to store it all in.

Glittery Birthday Card

I have been having fun playing with techniques from Melz Stamp Blog. This is crayon resist technique completed after using the cuttlebug. I used the Glue Essential Stamp Pad, and stickles. Plus the adorable Bella stamps. it was fun to make! Very Girly!

We are registered!

Well, it was a long shopping day on Thursday, when Andrei and I decided to do our gift registry at the Hudsons Bay in Langley. We decided to go their first as they have lots of selection! We were there for a good 3 hours I think. Andrei didn't realize we needed all the stuff that we needed! LOL! We have a good start anyways! We basically started with the the really special items, and will go back and complete the bathroom and bedding sections once we know what kind of place that we are going to live in. It was hard to chose colours and such, and we are working on figuring out what Our Style is!

Scrappin "N" Happy Sweat Shop!

Well, it has been a hot one, as well as a busy scrappin weekend. It has been like a sauna in my condo and I had t I have had lots of productivey this weekend. The message board that I participate in had a fun scrap a thon weekend. I was luckily able to participate in some of the challenges, as I wasn't busy with school or work for once. I had a lot of fun, and it allowed me to get my creative juices going! I was able to make some non wedding related projects. I made four cards. Three birthday cards and one thinking of you card. I made an altered project, and a card box for my Aunt to go with her Birthday present! It was fun! I really enjoy making those card boxes, and will make some more to give as gifts at Christmas time for the people that I work with! (I say that now, but time is a factor!) I have the best of intentions.

I also began working on my wedding favours. I am making 150 little chocolate booklets. But, you will just have to wait until the wedding to see the finished product. There will be no sneek peeks! Another fun wedding purchase that I made yesterday on my trip to the mall to escape the heat were some wedding bells. They were lilac and in my colour! Not sure if they are used much for decorating, but a few scattered throughout will look pretty!

A New Look.... and what's new!

Well, I like to play with my Blog and learn how to make it better or at least more personable! This is what I came up with for now. It is a neat site that alows you to pretty up your blog! I went to look at the backgrounds, and this one I immediately fell in love with! I wonder why!

Anways, things are going well, and I am keeping busy! Andrei and I went on a River Rafting trip this past weekend, and boy was it an exciting trip!

We went to REO River Rafting on the Natlahatch river. They have a campground right on site, so we brought our own camping supplies. It was the best camping I have ever done, as you get to play, and have fun, and the meals and clean up is all taken care for you. In other words, it was an all inclusive camping trip. It was a fantastic birthday present!

The rafting was about four hours long, but the trip took about five hours because we stopped for snacks and there was a lot of teaching to do and swim tests to take in order to successfully complete this trip.

It is funny when they were going over the 30 minutes of saftey issues, I kept thinking they definitely aren't teachers because they kept giving us the information, but not really checking to make sure that we absorbed what we needed to absorb, and let me tell you there was lots to absorb.

But, some how I think I got what I needed and survived the trip! Desipite the fact that Andrei and I, plus another individual from our boat trip got thrown out of the boat and had to be rescued. I have never experienced that before! It was very intense ride. Level 3 to 4 rapids. Level 5 are the highest for guided tours and level six are life threatening. We both made it home, but do have some cuts and bruises to show our treck! But all worth the adreneline rush!

Andrei's parents are throwing a family engagement party for us on the September long weekend, so I am looking forward to that! In fact, I went dress shopping today to buy a dress for the special occasion! I actually ended up buying the first one that I saw. I won't tell you what it looks like, as I will post pictures in a couple of weekends after the event.

I have completed all the wedding invities and RSVP cards. I still have to finish the thank-you cards, as well as the Wedding Favours. But, I have all the materials now to make this. I plan on making these tomorrow night and Saturday! I am keeping busy, and finally starting to feel like I am holidays!

Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying the hot weather!

It's Our Pre-Anniversary Today.

Well, it is official only 365 days until Andrei and I get married. Our wedding is exactly a year from today. I have been busy though here. I currently have all 90 invitations completed, as well as 90 RSVP envelopes decorated and addressed, and 90 RSVP cards completed. Toaday, I plan on completing the 42 thank-you cards that I have been making. I am sure that I will need to make more though. I will also be starting the guestbook. Since I am in school and working full time, I decided to do these fun projects this month while I am not working or in school. I have them all put carefully into a shoebox with a lid for safe keeping.

My First Scrap Blog

Well, although I am done with my course, I still love exploring what technology is out there to use. This is a new discovery from today. It is a scrapblog. It has many different styles of pages to choose from that you can use to create a scrapbook. It gets posted on scrapblog and then you can post it here to your own personal blog. I just made this one quickly to try it out. I was immediately hooked when I saw the pages and new that my engagement photos would be a perfect fit!

I am hoping to make more of these in the future too!
