"Busyness" of September

Wow, I always seem to forget from one year to the next how busy September is. There is always so much to do.I usually feel pretty good once Thanksgiving hits because routines are in place and I feel more settled. I have lots of marking to do this week to get my writing assessments evaluated. Once those are done the reading assements are not that far behind me. So, I will get this all done as necessary!

I had a great opportunity yesterday to do a SMART Board workshop in Delta. I prepared to half day sessions. It was a lot of work, and of course I had to over prepare to feel good but I had such a great sense of accomplishment doing the workshop!

I made 11 cards for a co-woker at work. I was pretty excited to get a little money for the cards! So, I will put that aside to purchase a table at the craft fair. I am getting all excited about selling my creations there!

A few Projects Here and There!

So, I haven't stop my creating as I have been very busy with it! But, I haven't been taking the pictures with everything that I like too!

I have been giving my room a bit of a reorganization, as I have brand new curtains and a cricut expression station now! I like this very much! But, it has caused my room to become a complete disaster as I move things around! So, once I get the room a little better looking in neatness. I will find it easier to post some of the projects that I have been working on!

Busy Relaxing and Creating

It was a busy first week back at school! And I think I am still recovering from the intensity of the last three years! So I had naps every night afterwork! This weekend I took it easy! I did go to Micheals for there awesome sales! I bought three different spools of ribbon for Christmas cards that I need to make! I also splurged and bought the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge! I was really on the fence about this one but I went for it! I had a whole bing of fun making projects with it! But, didn't take any pictures or video! I was creating for creating sake! However, I have an idea for an upcoming video. I will try to do that this week! Just need time to get settled back at work!

Just Because Squirrel Create a Critter Card

Yes, I know another project posted today! Let's just say that once I got my scraproom all cleaned again, I was on a role with a whole bunch of projects! However, this project was the last one of the day, as the rest of the evening was spent editing and uploading videos, and making dinner! The card base and the card mat I had sitting on my desk for quite some time, as I had this left over from when I did the Whimsical Mushroom Card and Miss Anya stamp. I knew that I didn't want to make another card like that because I already had made ten of those cards, so I decided to make an animal scene card. The Create a Critter Cartridge is so easy to do this, and along the way I was able to use only scraps to cut out this darling tree and Squirrel. It was so much fun to make and works so well with this paper! I need to use more of that pattern paper from the Green Stack. This card is going to be given to a Co-worker. She invited me to visit her this past summer, but I was unable to attend although I really wanted to. I just needed some me time and a chance to regroup after the comprehensive exam, so I never looked her up. This is just a card to thank her for the invitation! I hope she likes it!

New Mom Matching Card and Envelope

I wanted to make a little matching card for my two girlfriends that are going back to work as new Moms. The Wild Cartridge makes it so easy to do this. I just went into my stash and made these envelopes. I cut these envelopes out using my Baby Bug, so one 12 x 12 sheet of paper made two envelopes. The heart cards were made out of one 6x12 piece of cardstock. The stamp set is from the Studio G collection! Isn't it just perfect for this card!

Let's Get Crafty # 39 Straight From the Nest Series: Birthday Bird

This video is number six in a series of videos that looks at the various cuts from the Straight From the Nest Cartridge. This cut was my choice of cuts with the challenge that Sarah and I have going on between the two of us to encourage each other to use this cartridge. The Birthday Bird is cut at 4 inches, and the pattern paper is all from my scrap papers. Please visit Sarah for her card project over at LiveLoveandScraps

New Moms Back to School Gift Bags

Two of my closet girlfriends had babies last year. Since that time they have had a year maternity off, plus two summer months. So both of them are sad about going back to work only for the fac tthat they are leaving their little one either at daycare or with family. I thought it might be nice to make a little new working mom gift bag with a few little goodies in it to cheer them up on their first day back to work. I hope they like them.

Let's Get # 37: Halloween Trick or Treat Card

I have been busy in my scraproom the last few days trying to get as many projects completed as possible, as well as enjoying every momment of spare time that I currently have before going back to work on Tuesday.

A recent blog follower said that I wasn't posting much on here about my daily life. But, that is because I have been really taking it easy and enjoying my time off now that I no longer have course work or work to balance. So, my time really has been doing paper crafting. I am getting the courage up to now work on the Wedding Album for my In Laws. I think I will tackle that one before I start my own ablum. I also would like to add some more pages to my Mom and Dad's Album, as well as give them the DVD of photos from the Wedding. All these things that I didn't have time for but now I have time for them!

I made six of these cards last night to get ready for Halloween! The images were a lot of fun to colour, but unfortuneately I don't have the name of the image! If you know it please let me know. Otherwise, here are the

My Messy Scraproom

Well, I am trying to get in as many projects as I can I guess! I go back to work after my summer vacation on Tuesday and although I will have more time in the evenings than I did last year. I am thinking that. I might be a little tired when I initially go back to work until I get used to being in a routine. This may affect my creativity? Buy hopefully not because I have been having so much fun playing in here! I made six Halloween cards tonight! I will post those tomorrow! I also made a sign that I will hang outside the door of my classroom! It has my teacher name! However, I won't post pictures of that project because it has my last name! I also finished my Christmas Tag Swap! I made 3 different sets of 7 tags! I am hosting this swap so I am just waiting for the other tags to arrive! And as you can see from this post from my iPhone camera that my desk area is an absolute mess! Time to clean it up before I work on any more projects! I can't believe that I posted this picture, but it will motivate me to clean so that I can post an after picture!

Cheers!

Party Chick and Cupcake Card

>

As stated in my previous post I have been having difficulty accessing my Internet access today from my scraproom computer! However that is okay because I am loving the IPhone camera to email these posts to my blog! So quick and easy! However, I am sure the quality of the picture isn't as good, so I apologize for that! I had 10 of those little epoxy cupcake stickers left over from a scrap class at Precious Memories in June. I knew I wanted to make cards with them! They have been sitting on my desk since then! I decided to tonite that I was tired of looking at them, so I would make cards! I made 10 of these! I packaged up two sets of four for the craft fair, and kept two for myself! The sketch of this card was based on a card we made during that class! The only thing different is that I used the studio g party chick stamp! This by far is I e of my favorite stamps!
