Grrrr... I have a DAMN Cold!

Who would of figured. It is my last week of freedom from classes, and I have a head cold. I have finally relaxed and unwound, and then I get sick. Typical.....However, this weekend I was able to be productive on the wedding front. I have almost finished my Guest Book. I sent out my first 5 invitations. There will be more to follow. But, I am just waiting for Andrei to print them out on the computer. I also have to go and buy some cream paper to print the maps and stuff on. And the other big job to check off is the picking out of the Bride's Maid Dresses. They are picked and the deposit has been made. They are custom made and designed for both Sara and Julie, and should arrive in the next two to six weeks. I am very excited that it is all starting to come together.

I took a bit of time to work on some projects here in my scraproom. Things that were non-wedding related. It was a nice break from the wedding things. Here are a few projects that I have created.

Hello Kitty Greetings

Cricut Cartriages were on sale at Micheals this week. So, I bought the Hello Kitty Greetings cartriage. I have had my eye on this cartriage for quite awhile. I had a gift certificate from Christmas that I have been saving for a special occasion. This was the perfect occassion. There are a lot of neat creative features on this cart. I can't wait to play some more with it. Here are my first two creations.

It's Official! There is a Sold Sign!

Well, it is very official. We went and showed off the inside of our house to our parents early Saturday afternoon. We took time to have a look at the inside. There was a sold sign on the property, so we made sure to get a few different photos!

Busy as Usual!

Is it no any wonder that I can stand at times? Well, to be honest I don't know how I do it. But, this weekend is currently another busy one! I have been cleaning up the place, packing up odds and ends that I won't be needing, and as well trying to complete wedding projects. I have my hands full. But, class starts in about a week and a half, so I want to have things done, so that I am ready to go back to school. My strategy with work right now, is to plan the Science unit now that I will be doing, so that I don't have to do much more creating with planning. But, it is hard to do because I love creating new units for my class. So once that is done I am ready for the end of the year.

On the wedding front, I am continuing with figuring out the decoration status. I got a great deal on some decorative stones for my guestbook table centre piece. I have designed my number cards for the tables, and I am just figuring out what to do with the cake topper. I was going to have my cousin's friend make me one. But, unfortunately she never returned my call. So, I thought that I would try my own. But, I don't want to post those details, so it is a suprise on the day of the wedding. So no early bird peeks! I also am currently putting a card box together with cards for my sister. She said she would rather pay me to make cards rather than buy them at the store. I am giving her a family discount. The card box isn't quite done, but I will post when complete. I also have been busy making cards this weekend. Some went into Julie's box, and some I turned into gift sets. However, I am needin more plastic for these gift sets. It is reuded from other cards, but I need some more. They make the cards look so professional!

Easter Projects and Cardmaking

I didn't want to post these projects on my blog until they were given as gifts, so I will post them now to show off what I have been having fun making. Everyone loved the little Bunny chocolate boxes. They were a lot of fun to make, and I was able to use my scraps of patterned paper for parts. Then this weekend, I was able to get a couple of hours to make these cards. I can make cards quick and easy when I have the card kits made up ahead of time. All I have to do is assemble.

Our BIG News!

I have been bursting at the seems to post this BIG event on the Blog. I have waited until now to make this big announcement because we wanted to have all of our family know at the same time. This past Easter Weekend, Andrei and I made the big announcement. So, now I can announce the BIG BIG news here on the Blog! We bought a house! Wow! I can't even believe it when I say it let alone write about it here. Over Spring Break, we had looked at over 25 houses in the Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam area. We pretty much new what was all for sale in our price range. We came across this house on the first day. But, when we looked at it we thought it was out of our price range, and was something we couldn't afford. However, the circumstances were right for this current situation. The sellers were eager to sell, and our realtor negotiated a fabulous price for us. It is located in Citadel Heights in Port Coquitlam, we have a goregous view, and are close to schools. It is a three bedroom house. The best thing of all is that Andrei gets is Man Room, and I still get a scraproom (the den). Plus, two spare bedrooms for company or later family additions. I am already beginning to plan the organization of the new scraproom. But, have a big job ahead of me to begin packing up all my belongings here. But, I have lots of support from Andrei, so things will get done one step at a time.
