Let's Get Crafty Halloween 2010 Mini Album Episode # 41

This was such a fun project to make! I discovered that over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge that they had a Halloween challenge for the week. I am entering this for there Frighten me or not challenge. I began this project on Monday and finally have been able to finish it. It was a chance to use all these fabulous embellishments that I have collected over the years, but never used. Additionally, I wanted to look at all my exsisting cartridges and find a way to use them for Halloween project without buying those adorable cartridges that are out right now. I don't do a lot of Halloween creating typically, so I wasn't really sure whether it woudl be worth the investment of these various cartridges. To my discover there are a lot of cartridges used this for project including:

Accent Essentials
Fabulous Finds
Forever Young
Doodlecharms
Forever Young
Create a Critter
Storybook
George and Basic Shapes
Plantin School Book

MEd Graduation

Well, I did it! I am officially a Master's Graduate from SFU. I was officially recognized at convocation yesterday, and it feels fabulous to have it offically over with. When meeting with some of my cohort buddieds we all mentioned how long it felt but at the same time how fast it went as well. I feel like I really transformed as a professional over those last three years. My family was all there to celebrate the day with me! All 14 of them! Here are some of my favourite pictures from the day!

I feel so good to have this moment of recognition, but at the same time very relieved that this chapter is over! It was a lot of blood, sweat and tears! Let me tell you near the end it was a lot of tears!

Now the day after this celebration, I have been enjoying sitting and lounging around and doing absolutely nothing, as I don't have anything that I absolutely have to do! Feels wonderful! Thanks so much for following me on this journey and celebrating it along with me! Now for the next chapter!

Oh the possibilities!

Craft Fair Items for Sale

I have decided to take the plunge and I will be attending a craft fair on November 18th. My school hosts one every year, so I thought that I would try to sell some of my creations there. It is really just a way to recoup the costs of making them. Because after a while what do you do with all those cretions. So I actually made 10 different purses like this. The idea is not an original idea as I got it from my Youtube friend Sarah from live love and scrap. I have her button down below on my sidebar if you would like to check these out. These were so much fun to make! I love the feather boas.

The purse is cut at fit to page from the forever young cartridge.
The cards are made 3x3 and have the forever young girl cut at 2.5 inches in various paper doll types.
The envelopes were all handmade from the copy paper. These were lot of work, and now I have no idea how much to charge. But, I think the would be cute gifts for a girl friend or for teens.

Card Set for Coworker

I made 11 of these cards for a friend at work. This was my first paid work project! I had a lot of fun making these. The butterflies were a lot of work and a lot of detail gluing all those pieces. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my making memories tweezers! Love those for cricut projects. Ever since Sarah from LiveLoveandScraps mentioned them. I have had them since and they work so well for the smal details of the cricut cuts.
