Our New Addition is Home

Well, we have a new addition to our family. Redley arrived home today at 9:00pm. We went out to Andrei's parents to pick up the little guy. We enjoyed a great meal an lots of puppy time. It was very interesting to see his reaction and the rest of the puppies reactions as we got ready to take him. They knew that something was happening. He whined a little bit in the car, but other than that he seems quite content. We have him sleeping in the bathroom, and he is cuddled up, and sleeping soundly.

Precious Memories Cupcake Card Class

Last Sunday. Wait a minute...this was already last week? I took a cardmaking class at Precious Memories in Langley. This was the first time that I had ever taken a card class like this before, but I figured that last Sunday would be a great day to do it considering I have been so busy with report cards and coursework.

This class was a great little getaway from everything that was going on. It was a 2 hour class and our instructor had everything all prepped for us. All we had to do was go, and sit and share materials. However, lets just say that some people do that better than others.

I really enjoyed this class, as it featured these Hampton Art Cupcake stickers. They are adorable little epoxy stickers. Despite the extra 20% off you get after taking the class I didn't buy any more because they were 5.99 a package. That is absoulutely outrageous. So, instead I will use my clear stamps, and go ahead an make those into little embellishments like the stickers were used in these cards. I do have 11 stickers left to use, and will make sure that I put them to good use.

Our little guy Redley is growing big and strong everyday. He is all weened and now eating dry food. He can drink from a water bowl and is getting braver at going out of the pen area where he has been living for the last 6.5 weeks. He is vey snuggable for now. But, I know with this little guy it won't las ver long, so I am enjoying this phase while I can.

June Blues

Ever since my birthday... The responsibilities of June hit like a Brick Wall. As a teacher, this time of year is exhausting! Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to create a Let's Get Crafty Video in a really long
time! My original goal was to do one at least once a week. But, that has gone
by the wayside! However, once the craziness of Jube is out of the way, I will have a
chance to go back and so some hardcore creating!

I have sorted out my exam question and reading list for my exam question! My exam dates are from July 5th to July 25th. I will start my first exam question early since I know when that question is!

I have so many new goodies on my desk to play with...I am just inchin to get started!

Wedding with the Cricut Project # 2 Triagular Prism Dove Favour Box

I need to get more organized with coordinating my blog posts to the actual weekly post. However, I will do this a little late this time. As mentioned in an earlier post, I was chosen to be a design team member over at Weddings with the Cricut. This week was my week to create something for the blog. So, I chose to create a favour box. The theme of this favour box works with the invitation that I designed for the previous week.

The dove was cut out using the Joys of the Season Cartridge, and the favour box was cut out using the Tags Bags Boxes and More Cartridge.

A Set of Four Cupcake Cards

These card were made after a big accident with cutting out cupcakes on the wrong type of paper. I going to be hosting a Let's Get Crafty Party on June 26th for my friend's step daughter. This is an idea that I am toying with for making a little bit of extra income on the side. I plan on making three small projects with the girls. A 3D boc, a card, and a tag with a holder. I figure that this will take about 1.5 to 2 hrs. The theme we have chosen is a cupcake theme.

While prepping the boxes. I accidently had the cricut design studio on the wrong view and I ended up making these cupcakes on the thicker 3D Box paper. Well, I was very mad at myself when I did this, but I was able to turn it into four cute cards. I used the swirls embossing paper on the cupcake, and then glittered it with brown martha stewart glitter. Than I used some pattened paper from my stash, and pink glitter glue for the heart. The happy birthday stamp is one of my favourite studio g stamps. Thanks for stopping by to check this out!

Skater Ian.

These Skateboarder cards are made with one of my New Greeting Farm Stamps. I just love colouring these stamps. So much fun! I bought them last weekend, but haven't had a chance until now to play with them until now. I think this little guy will work great for some masculine cards. I don't have a lot of ideas for making masculine cards, but this will work. The patterned paper comes from my new paper pack that I got for my birthday. The orange square was cut out on my cricut using the mini monograms cartridge. I embossed it with one of the new Tim Holtz embossing folders. Then I distressed with frayed burlap, and cut out the stamp and used dimensionals. I packaged these cards up to sell at a Christmas craft fair. I am going to sell single cards for 2.50 and packages of 4 for 8.00. If you are interested in purchasing any cards from me please feel free to contact me directly. I do custom orders!
