New Year's Resolutions in Motion!!

Well, I thought I would give an update as to what has been happening since I got back to work! Let's just say that I have been very busy! Getting all the parent interviews completed with parents from the report cards that went home before the holidays, and getting all the units up and running that I am planning on teaching until Spring Break.

It is so much fun thinking of all the activities that I could get the students to do. It has been especially great being that my friend Debbie and I are planning together. Although she is a grade 2 French immersion teacher and I am an English teacher it is still great to get two heads together instead of one!! So, we had a few late nights planning at work. But, it will be worth it once the unit is up and running, as we won't have to scramble on a daily basis we know what the end will be!! The unit we are doing is an Animal unit. The students will be learning about all the Vertabrates Animals, conducting an experiment that will help teach them all about the animal, and finally a research project on a Canadian Animal. It is going to be a lot of fun!

Well, I have been doing a great job of trying to drink more water this year. The fancy Lululemon bottle that I got for Christmas from my friend Tara has really played a major role in all of this. As who could resist drinking out of a pretty hot pink bottle with polkadots. Apparently, I can't resist! Yoga continues every Wednesday night. Julie joined me last week, and she did a fantastic job! I can tell that she is very strong from all her working out that she does at the gym!! However, she kept looking at me and wondering how I hadn't melted away because she said she has never sweat so much in her life! I have almost used up my 20 sessions, and will soon be signing up for the next set!

Finally, I have been taking steps towards applying for the Master's Program in September. There is quite a lot of work to do to get organized for it. But, I have my list and I have been checking things off as I go along! I have three different people writing letters for me and I have begun writing my letter of intent. I am getting very excited about the possibiity of starting school again!

Have a great Weekend!
