Oh My God!! We all just got back from the Kenny Rogers Concert and we couldn't have asked for a better show and present for Dad if we tried. It all started out when I bought tickets back in late July for tonights concert. My Best Friend Sara bought her tickets months before and was farther back then we were. Our tickets were front row centre in the 750 seat theatre at the River Rock Casino! We had a perfect view of Kenny Rogers and he had a perfect view of us! We couldn't stop laughing when we saw our tickets we were all very excited.
Kenny Rogers likes to see his fans, and so he had lights on the audience so he can see his fans enjoying the concert. Well, for some reason or another he picked Dad out of the front row to tease the entire night of the concert! It probably had to do with the fact that Dad was the only male in the front row of our section, and belive it or not he likes to ham things up. He called him by his first name throughout the entire concert, and kept throwing 10.oo at him for every Kenny Rogers song he recognized and could name. It was hilarious. The Kenny Rogers Fan that Dad was and being put on the spot he couldn't remember some of the songs it was hilarious!!! We helped him out, and as a result Dad scored 140.oo of Kenny's money just for knowing and enjoying the concert!! Dad was tickled pink! As Dad was the only one out of the 750.00 guests of the concert that got this special attention!
At the end of the show Kenny Rogers made a point of shaking Dad's hand to thank him for being a good sport, as he did tease him a lot throughout the show!!!
The last song Kenny sang was Islands in the Stream, and he throughout signed autographed tamberines. Julie scored an awesome Tamberine, and you can see her enjoying playing along to the song!!! It was a very entertaining concert and I am so glad I had an opportunity to enjoy it with my family.
I would definitely go to another concert again!!!
