Greetings! Well, I have heard about this blogging thing for awhile and thought why not try it out and see how it goes. I wasn't too sure what to do my Blog about at first, but as I was sitting down in my Scrap Room, I thought why not relate to my favourite hobby Scrapbooking. I enjoy being creative. This past weekend I went to the Circle Craft Fair at the Pan Pacific Hotel. I went with my creative friend Tara, a Jewlery artist and another friend Daryl, who is also very artistic in many different areas.
I was so inspired by all the other creative people that are out there and self-promoting their work at such a large venue. There were quite a few things that caught my eye. There were these really cool Hats, and since I am always looking for the perfect fit hat, I tried some of these on. But, didn't have much luck. There were also these really cool toques that were very unique, but unfortunately they were quite a bit out of my price range at 200.00 bucks a hat.
The highlight of the trip had to be the discovery of the Old Island Stamp Company. This company is a maker of stamps on Salt Spring Island. They make stamps from Artist designs. There were many different designs that I liked. The thing that I liked the most about this company was the fact that they sold unmounted stamps. I bought four stamps: A large snowflake, small snowflake, a single butterfly, and a grouping of butterflys. Unmounted stamps are definitely a way of buying stamps for the future. They take up much less space as you keep them on a plastic sheet and can take them on and off because of the product that they sell to put on the stamp called EZ Mount.
I got some great ideas, and had some fun playing with all my new products this weekend!
Happy Scrappin!
