It was a rainy wet weekend, so it was a very good excuse to stay indoors and create! I had a blast trying out this cut file created by Jen C. You can find many great cut files on her blog http://www.jensbrainthings.blogspot.com/, This particular bird house cut file can be found here. I used American Crafts patterned paper. You can make two of these bird houses out of a 12 x 12 sheet of paper. For those of you that only have the baby bug you can create this adorable house with it also. In fact, I used my baby bug for this project. The roof and the base of the bird house was cut with the Mini Mongrams cartridge, but is all sized and ready for you to go right in the cut file. I decorated the bird house with a bird cut from the Serenade Cricut Cartridge. The greenery came from the storybook cartridge, and the yellow flower came from the the Sizzix Rose Die. However, if you own the Flower Shoppe Cartridge, you could easily make this rose with that cartridge. The only other tool you need to create this project is Cricut Design Studio. However, I am wondering if it might be possible to cut this out with the Cricut Craftroom. If so...that is very exciting for those of you who don't have design studio. Anyways, these were lots of fun to make, and look forward to making many more in the future!!
