I really enjoy creating with the friends I have met on the message boards. It is a great place to be inspired to create, as well as share projects with one another. This was one of those creative swaps, that I couldn't miss out on. There were thirteen of us who signed up and we each had to make two squares. I was assigned number 7 and 17. Yes, that is right 17. However, I had done number 18. But, Dolly who had not completed her squares, so we just switched up the numbers/ All thirteen of has created the same squares for everyone. We sent them to Gloria, who swapped them all out. We received 25 squares back all uniquely decorated by the group.
Our job was to then take the cookie sheet and create the calendar. I had to buy the cooke sheet, red spray paint, and magnets. All the other supplies I had. I am very happy with the effect.
The December was made with the Mickey Font and the cricut. I then used the cuttlebug to emboss the letters. I used Inkadoo Christmas Flourish with the essential glue pad and Martha Stewart peridot glitter for the red strip that is behind the letters.
Two 12 x12 sheets were needed for underneath the dates. My Bind it All 1/2 inch corner round worked very well for finishing off the paper corners. I am very pleased with the results. This is a Christmas treasure for many years to come!
