Where did September Go?

Wow! What a month! I can't believe that this weekend we will be heading into October. This great weather that we have been having has definitely made it feel more like summer than fall. But, that hasn't stopped from things going into full swing back at work. I am getting to know my new class and am looking forward to the upcoming year with them. The students have kept me on my toes for sure, but I have been getting them used to the new routines and expectations, and this past week was one of the best weeks so far. ! But, that is what September in the classroom is all about!

The new news on the school front today is the fact that I will be taking two student teachers on Monday. This practicum is their short 401/402 practicum from SFU. So, they are getting into the classroom, and may teach a few lessons here and there. This will be a great opportunity for growth on my part because it will give me an opportunity to explain why I do things in a particular way in the classroom. So it should be an interesting term ahead, which will allow me to grow professionally as a teacher as well!

It is always good to challenge yourself as that is a sure way to grow and learn yourself. It will keep you busy too. Glad to see that you are keeping up the scapping too.
