A Memorial Tribute to My Nana

I wanted to post this, but needed to find the right picture to post here! Last weekend was my Nana's memorial service. My Nana was my honourary Grandma. She become one of my Adoptive grandparents from birth onwards, and was very lucky to have her in my life. She passed away March 24th, and her celebration of life made me reflect on what a very special person she was. She was the type of person who made everyone feel special. She was also a person who had experienced lots of hardship in her life with the loss of her only son as a teenager, the loss of her husband, and while coping with a sever arthritis. But, she never allowed these situations interfere with her outlook and attitude towards life. She lived everyday with a positive attitude and used music to support her. Emma's 3rd Birthday

It all started with an idea on a friendship afternoon! Sara and I got together about a month ago for a visit, and she was showing me the Hello Kitty party items that she had got from her Mom. Well, we quickly turned this into a fun theme! That afternoon we made the loot bags together witht the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge and the Hello Kitty cartridge. We looked for some other neat ideas online. We came up with pin the bow on Hello Kitty. I volunteered to make this, and then I saw these hats a while back that Lauren from Lauren's Creative made. The directions were really easy to follow, and they turned out super cute. They were some work to make, but the children wore them for most of the party, so it was well worth the love and time that went into these! When I was telling my sister all about the party theme. December Daily 2012 Day # 6

Today I have enjoyed a little bit of Christmas Cheer with great company! I met a good friend for dinner at my favourite restaurant My Greek Taverna . I always enjoy going out for a Greek dinner with girlfriends because Andrei dislikes Greek food. It was fabulous dinner, and I have left overs to eat for tomorrow. I love this fact too because I always seem to find it difficult to be productive at making proper lunches this time of year. I am keeping this post short tonight, as I need to get started on the Christmas present for my sister's coworker!
