All That Scraps Embossing Challenge

I had a chance to play with my crafting goodies last night! I have always been a fan of Japanese inspired projects! When I saw the Konichwa Paper by Basic Grey, I knew I just had to have the paper. I knew I wanted to make cards with it, and that is just what I did! I used the Geisha digital stamp from All that scraps! Isn't she simply adorable! Colored her with Bic Markers as I haven't wandered into Copics yet...still resisting strongly!

The challenge over at All That Scraps is to do a project with embossing! I just love my cuttlebug embossing folders! They instantly make a project look so much more polished. This embossing folder is also from a Japanese inspired set! Isn't it fun when you can use what you have to create coordinated projects!!

Crop At Gloria's

It's the end of June already? It was time for our monthly crop last night at Gloria's! There were only three of us. Shannon has moved to Alberta and the two girls were very busy with year end wind ups. So, it was a small group! We were able to have some crafty good fun though! Gloria was working on some cards for clients. She showed me the beautiful wedding invitations she made. LisaG worked on her Disney Album, and I worked on some cards with a kit I had made up awhile back!

The Asian inspired cards were made with the Konichiwa Basic Grey Paper Line! I have lots left still to play with, so I plan on using my Pagoda Cricut cartridge with this line! They pair perfectly together! Stay tuned!

Greeting Card Gift Set

It was time to get crafty this weekend! And sure enough I was able to come up with some projects! I made four sets of each of these cards! They are made with paper from friend Lisa G. She gave a 6x6 paper pad because she didn't want it anymore! The colors in this as are so me! Purples, yellows and greens!

The first card was inspired from a sketch that my friend Lisa G used the last time we went scrapping together. I loved the simplicity of the design, and knew it would work well using a paper pack! This sketch would allow you to make 6 cards from 5 sheets of a 6x6 paper pad! There are a few little scraps left over that a creative person could turn I to a card!

The next card uses a new stamp set! I just love the dress forms! This card took advantage of a new crafty tool I have! The Stamp positioned! Boy did it work well! I might be able to use so e of my wooden blocks again, as I have been so hesitant to use them because I can't stamp the darn things straight.

The third card uses my nestabilities and my AmyR stamps! I love those sentiments! Embellished with the Martha Stewart butterfly punches. So adorable!!

Sending You A Latte Thanks

It is report card time!! Ughhh...the least favorite part of my chosen profession! However, I was able to have a productive evening and get a lot a fair amount of work done on them tonight! That feels good to get out of the way! However, I need to transition to bed time now...so to take my mind off work...I decided to make a couple of cards that were inspired from the Monday Mojo sketch! I scrap lifted one of the cards that were posted to the challenge! In an attempt to make more thank you cards I chose to make these two creations! Same sketch, and these cards were able to use two mat stack sheets from the street lace collection! Pretty exciting when you can stretch your favorite mat stacks! I used two different coffee stamp sets for these cards! Scrappy Moms and I believe the cups are from inkadinkadoo...but I am not 100% sure! Love that these two cards use goodies from my stash!!

Feminine Cards With Street Lace Mat Stack

So, I have got a little scrappy Mojo back! I am making these cards for a feminine gift set. I will have four cards in the set, and these will go in a purse box! So fun..so girly...and so my style!! Gotta love it!!! The tags were hand made with a stampendous stamp sett called charmed collection! A birthday present from my friend LisaG. She actually made the bird tag and the butterfly tag! But, I made the Paris tag! The dress die cut is a nestabilities! This is the first time I have used this set and it was a little challenging to use to be honest! I tried the I intricate die cut dress but it didn't seem to pop from the die! Might have to use card stock for that one instead of the thinner paper I was using. I chose not to include a sentiment on this set because I didn't want to limit the cards use when it is being used as a stamp set! These charming stamps will be put towards lots of crafty use!

Trying to Find Sone Crafty Mojo

Having a morning and afternoon around home is a lovely thing to do! When we talked about this on Friday night I thought for sure that I would use today for some crafty time! But...I sat on the sofa quite a bit not having sop much crafty mojo! However, I started pinning on Pinterest, and then looked over at the bi weekly challenge my friend Gloria posts at the Canadian ScrapNSwap Message Board and I was able to find some inspiration to pull me into my craft room! So, I decided to make a couple of thank you cards, as when Andrei went to ask me for some this past week..I had very fee to choose from! I wanted to do an owl themed card!

My first thought with this theme is to use some of my new Scrappy Mom Owl Sentiments...but the sentiments didn't fit the sketch! So, I had to switch gears! The fantastic thing about these two cards is that they were made with oh 3 sheets of 6x6 patterned paper but My Minds Eye! I plan on putting these in my basket to sell!

A Wee Bit of Scrappy Shopping

So I went for a car ride today with my Mom and we went to Michaels! We went to the larger store a little farther away! I was lucky because I had two gift certificates! One was a birthday present and the other gift card was from a challenge! I really lucked out, as I was able to get two of these paper packs for 12.99 each. The cling stamps and paper pad I was able to purchase with my gift certificate from Lisa! If you are reading this post LisaG...thanks so much! I am loving dress forms and it will go perfectly with a set of stamps that I got from LisaG for my bday! Loving the vintage!

Just loving the bargains! Now to get crafty!!

Masculine Themed Cards

I had a crafty day at my friend Lisa's house today! It was so much fun to be in her brand new space! I was in shock when I went downstairs to see the completely moved space! It was all organized and it looked like she had been down there forever!! All the little bits and pieces were moved! It was fantastic!

I also had a very productive day creating! I decided I was going to make some masculine cards for birthdays and father's day. I am going to try and sell some of the cards at work again! It would be fun to make a little bit of extra crafty money to get some goodies!

I made two of each of these designs!
